I’m sure all of you have heard about may 21. Here’s what I, as a Christian, have to say about it. The Bible says that no one, not even the Angels, know the day or the hour of the next Judgement Day. That being said, it is crucial that we keep to the Christian ideals instructed to us by the Bible. And if you haven’t yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, please do so very very soon.
And now for some knittin’ content. These are some hats for the homeless. Just preppin’ for the fall/winter. I would like to ask anyone reading this to please do what you can to help the homeless in your area.
Acrylic yarn on 3.5 circulars, and I finally forced myself to loosen my stitches! It wasn’t easy, changing my ways after decades of knitting so tightly, the needles squeaked. Before, I would have used 5 to 5.5mm. I actually learned that from my teenager, who uses even smaller needles and gets even bigger stitches!
Ok, bye for now, and God Bless!

Nikkie’s sweater, and a hat for someone. These were finished a month and a half ago or so. I just never got around to posting them. There are a few more fos for this year, I just gotta find the pics.

To the makers of these narrow-ass snack bags, anorexic people and very small children are not your target consumer.

It annoys me that our society has become so celebrity-obsessed. Tabloid rags, gossip blogs and shows have become an acceptable form of reading and entertainment.
Many shake, cry, nearly faint and lose control of all bodily functions if they happen to run into someone famous. And then that’s all they can talk about, as if their life was of no particular significance until they got to meet so-and-so. Seriously?! Wtf!
And now everyone seems to be nuts over head about the british wedding. Are you kidding me?! Prominent people are still just people.
Maybe it’s only here in Cali, because of all the hollyweird-ness, but I thought we were supposed to be the laid back, relaxed, unflappable ones….

This is a tank top/vest thingy I finished in january, but started like 6 months prior. No pattern, knit from bottom up. Decreases for waist, and short rows to define the (tiny) chest.
It’s sugar and cream cotton knit on 4mm circs. That yarn hasn’t really given me any problems in the past, and I’ve knit plenty from it. And, I’ve knit this “no pattern” pattern before. This was far from my first cotton rodeo. But this, this project almost took my will to knit.
Every time I tried it on, it fit differently. So I frog, reknit, retry it on, repeat. Drove me crazy. I’m not sure how, but I finally got it to submit!
But now, I have to get past my animosity towards it before I can wear it. I know how it sounds, but it is what it is.

Another one. This is for Nickey, the supposed chorkie. I’m not into Valentines AT ALL. These dogsweaters are more for funny/sarcastic purposes. I don’t need to be told by the retail establishment when to celebrate my love!
And I’m so sick of all these commercials, and sitcoms perpetuating the stereotype of women wanting gobs of cash spent on them for flowers, jewelry, and expensive restaurants. And if the guy misses the mark, he’s in the doghouse. It makes us look like shallow golddiggers. That’s such crap. I’m offended and irked by it.
So, years ago, I started a new tradition with my husband and daughter.
The Taxorangetines! For dinner, we eat orange foods, like cheetos, pepperoni pizza, creamsicle ice cream, orange diet pop, orange cupcakes, etc. And we do the taxes.
It gives us an excuse to eat junk food, and makes tax time less of an annoyance.
